About 2025 UGHE Masters Global Nursing Leadership

The 2025 UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Leadership (MGNL) is a two-year program designed to empower nursing professionals with leadership skills to drive global health improvements. Hosted by the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) in Rwanda, the program blends online learning (80%) with on-campus sessions for exams and practical engagement.

The MGNL program focuses on enhancing participants' abilities in healthcare leadership, policy advocacy, and evidence-based decision-making. It equips nurses with the skills to address healthcare challenges in underserved communities and improve health systems worldwide.

The program offers a fully funded scholarship covering tuition, accommodation, meals, and academic expenses. Successful candidates must demonstrate professional experience in nursing, hold a valid RN license, and provide employer support for their studies.

UGHE Masters Global Nursing Leadership 2025 Benefits

• Successful candidates enjoy a 100% tuition-only scholarship. However, they must commit to completing the program; failure to do so will require a refund of the entire scholarship amount.
• The MGNL program, delivered 80% online, demands students to have access to functional computers and high-speed internet. Students report to the UGHE campus for examinations for two weeks each semester.
• While UGHE covers tuition, students are responsible for all costs outside UGHE’s Butaro campus, including airfare, accommodation, meals, and visa fees.
• The award lasts for two years, and students are expected to bring personal items and toiletries as UGHE does not provide pocket money or living stipends.

2025 UGHE Masters Global Nursing Leadership Eligibility

UGHE’s Office of Admissions adopts a holistic approach, considering a spectrum of criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
• 5 – 7 years’ experience as a registered nurse (RN)
• Current employment as an RN
• Current non-restricted RN practice license
• Proficiency in English
• Academic documents from an accredited institution (Notarized copies)
