Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) is now selling the post UTME and Direct Entry screening application form for admission into its various Degree programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The management of Thomas Adewumi University has commenced the sale of the post-UTME application forms for admission into its various undergraduate degree programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session.

TAU Courses & their Requirement


Faculty of Computing and Applied Sciences


BIOCHEMISTRY
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Physics at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ Level passes chosen from Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, or other relevant science subjects in addition to UTME requirements.
UTME Subject: English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

CHEMISTRY
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level credits in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology/Agric Science at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least GCE A’ Level or equivalent in Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics in addition to UTME requirements.
NCE Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics plus O’Level Credit in Mathematics.
UTME Subject: English Language, Chemistry, and any two of Physics, Mathematics or Biology.

COMPUTER SCIENCE
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two subjects from Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Geography etc. at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry:
(i) At least two A’ Level passes in Mathematics, and any of Physics and Chemistry in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) National Diploma in Computer Science, Computer engineering, or other related discipline.
UTME Subject: English Language,
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

MATHEMATICS
O'Level Requirement: Five ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and any three of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Economics and Geography at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least A’ Level passes or equivalent in Mathematics and one of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography or Economics in addition to UTME requirements.
UTME Subject: English Language, Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Geography or Biology.

MICROBIOLOGY
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ Level passes in Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, and Zoology in addition to UTME requirements
UTME Subject: English Language, Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.

PHYSICS WITH ELECTRONICS
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other relevant science subject at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ Level passes in Physics and any of Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, or Geography in addition to UTME requirements.

National Diploma in relevant discipline.

UTME Subject: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agric Science at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry:
(i) At least two A’ Level passes in Mathematics, and any of Physics and Chemistry in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) National Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or any other related discipline.
At least two A’ Level passes in Physics and any of Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, or Geography in addition to UTME requirements.
National Diploma in relevant discipline.
UTME Subject: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Faculty of Management and Social Sciences


ACCOUNTING
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ level passes including Accounting and or Economics and at least one of Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Statistics, Geography and Government.
National Diploma in relevant subjects.
ND or NCE in relevant subjects.
UTME Subject: English Language, Mathematics, Accounting and/ or Economics and any other Social Science subjects.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Geography and Government at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ Level passes in Economics and one of Business Management, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography and Government in addition to UTME requirements, NCE or ND in relevant subjects.
UTME Subject: English Language, Economics, and/or Accounting, and any of Mathematics and other Social Science subjects.

CRIMINOLOGY AND SECURITY STUDIES
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and any three of Economics, Government, Geography and any other social science or science subjects at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ Level passes to include at least one Social Science subject.
National Diploma in Public Administration, Sociology, Social Work, or related discipline.
UTME Subject: English Language, At least any two of Economics, Government and/or Geography and any other Social Science or Social Science Subjects.

ECONOMICS
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Accounting, Commerce, Business Methods, Geography, Statistics and Government at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Geography, Accounting, Business Methods and Government in addition to UTME requirements, NCE or ND in relevant subjects.
UTME Subject: English Language, Economics, Mathematics, and any other Social Science subject.

MASS COMMUNICATION
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes to include English Language, Literature-in-English, Mathematics and two of Arts/Social Sciences subjects at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: National Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations and Advertising, Marketing and any other related discipline in addition to UTME requirements.
Candidates with at least two A’ level passes in relevant subjects may be considered.
UTME Subject: English Language and any three Arts and/or social science subjects.

Faculty of Basic Medical and Health Sciences


MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ level passes chosen from Chemistry and Physics, and any of Biology/Zoology, in addition to UTME requirements.
A degree in relevant discipline.
UTME Subject: English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

NURSING SCIENCE
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ level passes chosen from Chemistry and Physics, and any of Biology/Zoology, in addition to UTME requirements.
A degree in relevant discipline.
UTME Subject: English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

PHYSIOTHERAPY
O'Level Requirement: Five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry: At least two A’ level passes chosen from Chemistry and Physics, and any of Biology/Zoology, in addition to UTME requirements.
A degree in relevant discipline.
UTME Subject: English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

TAU Post UTME Requirement


The minimun requirement for prospective candidates applying to Thomas Adewumi University are:
A minimum score of 140 in the 2022/2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
Candidate must possess a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent.

Note: Candidates with awaiting results may also apply but will be required to present the acceptable qualifications before matriculation
Candidates are also to note that there are other requirements that may be specific to a faculty and/or a Programme.

UTME Requirement
Candidates must have sat for the current year Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination UTME) of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attained the prescribed cut-off marks as a statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian Universities.
Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that their UTME subject combination qualifies them for their chosen programme in Thomas Adewumi University.

Candidates who did not choose Thomas Adewumi University in the current year UTME are free to apply for admission into the University.
