The OCI Foundation offers annual scholarships to support indigent Nigerian students pursuing their studies in registered universities across Nigeria.



The Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation, established in 2016, is a non-governmental organization focused on Education, Health, and Empowerment/Charity Activities.


Its goal is to create a better society by breaking down barriers to excellence, believing that "education is a great leveller" and "health is wealth." Through scholarship programs, mentorship, and educational outreach, OCI Foundation uplifts individuals and communities by providing access to quality education and healthcare.

OCI 2024 Foundation Scholarship Requirements


First-Time Applicants
1. Government-issued ID (e.g., Passport, Voter’s Card, National ID, Driver’s License).
2. For applicants under 18: Birth certificate.
3. Official school letter with full name, Gender, Matriculation number from your Head of Department
4. Provisional admission letter for new scholars without a matriculation number should provide certified copies of:
- JAMB/UME result certificate
- Senior Secondary School Exam Certificate (WASSCE or NECO)
- Student ID for host institution
- Recent passport photograph
5. Letter from Traditional Ruler confirming Local Government Area (Anambra State, Nigeria).
6. 500-word essay on "My family".

Renewing Applicants:
1. Official letter from the Head of Department including:
- Full name
- Gender
- Matriculation number
- Course Title and Level
- Department of Study
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) for completed years
2. Official statement of results for completed year(s).
3. If applicable, a letter explaining any changes in circumstances (e.g., change in department, withdrawal from school).
- Official letter from school
- Official statement of results
- Letter stating any change(s) in circumstances

NB: Note that originals of all the submitted documents will need to be viewed during the interview, which will only be attended by successful candidates
