JAMB TRAINS TECHNICAL STAFF FOR MOCK-UTME

As the preparations for the conduct of the 2021UTME/DE hots up, the Board has announced the training schedule for Technical Officers and other key staff to be involved in the conduct of the 2021 Mock- UTME which is scheduled to hold anytime between Monday, 24th to Friday, 28th May, 2021. The training, which is held every year preceding the conduct of both the Mock and UTME exercise, is to keep these officers abreast of new innovations, remind them of the code of conduct expected of officers of the Board as well as those little details they are required to know to effectively discharge their duties.


The training would also involve a handson training on the systems to prepare them for any eventuality in the field. This is beside the examination they are expected to sit and pass before being selected to conduct the exercise. It should be noted that the Board reviews and updates its operational processes every year after each examination. This, it does, by looking at the examination security breaches experienced in the course of the examination and come up with appropriate ways to tackle them through the use of technology, hence its introduction of new innovations year-inyear-out.


It would also be recalled that the 2021 Mock-UTME was recently rescheduled to hold on Thursday, 3rd June, 2021, in order to afford more candidates the opportunity to register. To this end, candidates had been informed to reprint their notification slips so as to know their centres ahead of the examination date so as not to be wandering about looking for same on the day of the examination.
