(ii) There are many social amenities tn urban areas whereas there are few social amenities in rural areas.
(iii) Urban settlements are towns, cities, conurbations, etc. While rural settlements are isolated settlements, hamlets or villages.
(iv) People in urban settlements are generally heterogenous while people living in rural settlements are homogenous
(v) People in urban settlements engage mainly in secondary or tertiary production while people in rural settlements engage mainly in primary production.
(vi) Population is dense in urban settlements while, it is scanty in rural settlements.
(vii) Life of people in rural settlements is quiet and simple unlike in the urban centres. (viii) Urban areas have well planned layouts while rural areas are not.
