(c) Factors limiting the attainment of the objectives include;
- Language barrier
- Strong colonial ties
- Similarity of economic activities
- Currency problem
- Political instability
-Other sub-regional organisations working against ECOWAS, e.g Francophone countries
-Inadequate transport and communication network
- Inability to pay dues.
