rtificial elements are those element that do not or no longer occur naturally on earth but are generated artificially. The artificial elements include technetium \((Z=61)\) and elements whose atomic numbers are greater than 92. These include neptunium \((Z=93)\), plutonium ( \(Z=94)\) etC. Uranium has an atomic number of 92 . It is therefore, not an artificial element. Lutetium and lanthanum are also not artificial since their atomic numbers are 71 and 57 respectively.
