Ways of improving agricultural production are:
(i) Infrastructural development in rural areas e.g. good roads, electricity, etc
(ii) Mechanization.
(iii) Provision Quantity of goods consumed of credit facilities to farmers.
(iv) Introduction of better species of plants and animals.
(v) Provision of extension services: The farmers should be trained on the use of modern equipment.
(vi) The government should introduce mechanization which ensures mass production.
(vii) Forest regeneration and development of plantations should be progressively pursued.
(viii) Provision of specialized financial institutions in the various agricultural areas to meet the need of specific type of agriculture
(iv) Provision of adequate storage facilities e.g. silo
(v) Research institutes should be established, e.g. IITA.
